DSHS are through to the final of 'Brekfest,' on national radio station, Absolute Radio.

The show is sponsored by Wickes, who will do a makeoever of an area of your school / workplace / community centre if you are the winner.

If we win, the Absolute Radio breakfast show will come live from our School on Friday 19th May, including live performances from Kasabian.  Kasabian have won a Brit award and numerous NME and Q Magazine awards, headlined the pyramid stage at Glastonbury and are booked to headline the Reading/Leeds Festival this year.  Additionally, as another reward for winning, Wickes will support us to complete our amphitheatre project.

If you tune into Absolute Radio* between 8am and 8.30am on Monday 8th May you should hear a group of Year 9 and Year 11 students (and Mrs Lloyd Davies and Mr Kirk) singing their version of the Kasabian song 'Fire' (original version here) with the words changed to reasons why we should win.  Their lyrics are err... shall we say... a light hearted expression of the students' scepticism that we'd ever finish the amphitheatre off.  Hopefully their humour (and musical skill) will see us beat our three competitiors!

Please text or tweet the show with your support if the breakfast show team ask for listeners to do so (or even if they don't!)

Let's do this!

Mr Brook
Deputy Headteacher
